Introducing KevinPatrickOKeeffe.com!

The Blog

Hello all! Welcome to what I hope is the best virtual representation of myself I could possibly create, KevinPatrickOKeeffe.com.

After attending MSCNE12 in Georgia this past July, I learned how important it can be to have a one-stop shop for all your professional work — so I decided to set a site up. But I didn’t want to leave it at that. Truth is, I’ve missed blogging ever since Awkward is What We Aim For, my high school blog, got left by the wayside, and I wanted to get back into the blogging game.

Of course, with my Managing Editor position at The Los Angeles Loyolan and my regular Monday column for NextGen Journal, I’m not sure how well I’d be able to sustain an independent blog. So I’ve decided to make KevinPatrickOKeeffe.com a hybrid — my professional work and a personal blog, all in one.

Every post will update in the main feed on the front page. Blog posts will go up immediately after they’re written, while portfolio posts, each marked with a disclaimer of where the story is originally from, will publish exactly two weeks after they go up in their original location. They will also publish in their unaltered form — not a word will be changed. You’ll also be able to find every post archived on the individual pages for each section — for example, anything written for my It’s K-OK! column can be found on that particular page.

As far as the blog is concerned, you can expect me to expound upon all the subjects I usually talk about — television, film, political process, LGBT issues, etc. — but every once in a while, I’ll take an old piece and talk about it further. You can expect to see my piece on bisexuality revisited, for example. That way, the two parts of this site can be better connected.

Other odds and ends — including more information about the site, my contact information, etc. — can be found on the About page. I can also be followed on Twitter at @kokeeffe22, where I’ll be posting new blog entries and promoting my works on other sites as they debut. If you have any questions or suggestions, don’t hesitate to reach out!

Enjoy the site, and don’t be a stranger!
